July 1 was the start of my Summer ROAD TRIP’ for 2010. It began with a trip to Fairborn, Ohio, for the 3 day 36th Annual Mini Meet East event, followed by the start of my 4800 mile tour of the Upper Great Lakes. CLICK TO VIEW STORY & MORE Mini Meet PHOTOS

Follow Me On My Summer North American ROAD TRIP...

Driving my Mini Cooper S-JCW in the Fall of last year, my North American Road Trip was to the West coast of Canada. The trip was through 16 states and 2 Canadian provinces, followed by a winter trip to Florida, (4 more states) for a total of more than 9000 miles (see links on this page).

This summer I hope to circle the Upper Great Lakes driving my camper truck and leaving the MINI in the garage. The first leg of the trip will be North through Indiana. Then I will follow the East shoreline of Lake Michigan North to Mackinaw. From there I will head South on the shoreline of Lake Huron. Crossing into Canada, at Port Huron MI, I will follow the Lake Huron shore to North to Georgian Bay and then head West. After a stop in Sault St. Marie, ON. I will move on to Thunder Bay, following the North shore of Lake Superior.

From Thunder Bay I will head West to Kenora, ON, before heading South back into the US. via International Falls, MN. and working my way South along the West shorelines of Lakes Superior & Michigan through Minnesota and Wisconsin. I hope to time my trip to stop in Illinois for the World Micro Car Meet and then head south through Indiana and back to Cincinnati Ohio.
