Slide Show

Tony Hawk the hero of every kid who ever tried skateboarding came to town to put on a show and promote his new movie about, what else, skate-boarding.

A huge crowd of kids and parents filled Ollie’s indoor Skatepark, in Florence, to see Tony and his Birdhouse team perform stunts the kids only wish they could do.

The standing room only crowd were packed  ‘like sardines in-a-can’ surrounding the various ramps throughout the huge indoor venue.

After Tony and his crew performed on the lower level “street-scape” ramps, for about an hour, they moved to the 20 foot high half pipe ramps to show what “real professional skateboarding” is all about.

Flying high in the air by Tony and his team while doing 180 turns and 360 flips followed by hand-stands on the rim, were the highlights of the show, unless you were one of the lucky kids that got Tony’s high-five and an autograph.
