Beginning at midnight August 27, 2005, Cincinnati Zoo officials rounded-up two Manitee’s

named Stoneman and Rodeo, that they were nursing back to good health and shipped them to back to Orlando Florida, where they would eventually returned to the wild.

The process of moving the 1025 and 500 pound mammals from the zoo to the cargo aircraft took a little more than five hours.

After the Manatee’s arrived in Florida they were held there for a few months at SeaWorld .


Stoneman was released February 20, 2006 by the Lowry Park Zoo at Blue Spring State Park. Rodeo was released a few months later
