End Of An Era....

Recently LifeOnTheWestside received the following e-mail message from artist Jerry Dowling.

"The economy has caught up to the Sports page on CityBeat. Effective immediately, that page will no longer exist".

Cincinnati's alternative weekly publication City Beat  was paying Jerry for his weekly Sports D'art cartoons on a freelance basis. This website was reprinting, (at no charge), the weekly commentaries on happenings at local sporting events.

In exchange for the weekly cartoons this website was archiving the drawings and offering reprints to the public.

Now that City Beat is no longer paying Jerry the weekly drawings will no longer be available. We will, however, maintain the Sports D'art archive of more than 200 classic cartoons.. Feel free to browse and order a classic....
